Hello Photographers and their Families!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! As students know, we are getting ready to submit artwork to the Scholastic Art Awards. This year, we are asking that eighth graders submit 3 pieces and seventh graders submit 1. Students are expected to fill out, sign, and have their parents sign TWO forms for each piece of artwork. One form goes to da Vinci and the other goes to Scholastic. These forms are coming home with students TODAY!
Each art piece requires a $5 fee. Please include either the 5 or 15 dollars with the signed forms when you send them back to school with your student. If you are interested in helping out a student in need, please feel free to add 5 or 10 dollars to your contribution to help cover the cost of another student. In addition to the 2 forms per artwork, I will be sending home a "Waiver" form for students who need help covering the cost of their submissions. I understand that 5 or 15 dollars is not always an easy amount to contribute, and we will make sure all students' costs are covered. Please fill out the Waiver form if you cannot pay the fee.
Please return the forms by this FRIDAY, 12/11. The art team needs to collect all the money and submit everything by next Wednesday, so we need your help!
If a student loses their forms, they can be reprinted from www.artandwriting.org. Students just need to log in and go to their submissions, and there will be an option to print the forms. Please make sure each piece has TWO forms - this means eighth graders will need to sign 6 forms.
I will be emailing parents again later in the week to confirm that everything is on track. This is a great opportunity for students to have their work recognized, and we appreciate your willingness to help!
